Introduction
The scheme provides financial assistance to students enrolled in professional courses (Graduate and Post Graduate) and Science Post Graduate Courses in colleges and university departments to carry out science and technology projects.
KSCSTE invites applications from eligible students under the Student Project scheme. The applications shall be submitted through the online portal.
Procedure for Application
- Applications are invited once in a year through the advertisement in KSCSTE website and dailies.
- Eligible students shall submit the application through the online portal in the website along with the consent from principal investigator and Head of the Institution. Hard copies of the application will not be accepted.
Features
- Details of people Financial assistance up to Rs.10, 000/- per project.
- Duration of the project is six months.
- Number of student investigators per project should not exceed 5.
- During a financial year, the maximum number of projects sanctioned will be:
15 per College, 4 per Department, 2 per Principal Investigator
Eligibility
Students currently enrolled in professional courses (Graduate and Post Graduate) and Science post-graduate courses in colleges and University Departments in Kerala can apply.

Introduction
Under the scheme, students from schools, polytechnic colleges and those admitted to undergraduate level courses in colleges will be selected every year for doing a science project – SPYTiS-I (for school students) and SPYTiS-II (college level students). Selected students will be provided financial support for successfully completing the project.

Proposals in the prescribed format are generally invited in the month of June every year through advertisement in KSCSTE website and dailies
Features
- SPYTiS – I – Groups of maximum 5 students of Class VIII-XII from a school will be selected for the financial assistance of up to Rs.5,000/- for doing a science project
- SPYTiS – II – Students who have innovative ideas in science & technology and enrolled in polytechnic colleges and undergraduate courses in colleges will be provided financial assistance up to Rs.10,000/- for conducting projects
- Financial assistance will be provided to the host institution and the students have to work under the guidance/supervision of a teacher
- Awardees are encouraged to participate in Science Talent Fair, National Children’s Science Congress or Kerala Science Congress organized by KSCSTE for presenting their projects/findings
- Duration of the project is one year

Students from schools, polytechnic colleges and those admitted to undergraduate level courses in colleges/universities shall apply (Proposals from students enrolled in professional courses will not be considered under SPYTiS. They shall apply under Student Project scheme for financial assistance).

Introduction
A science enrichment programme for Prathibha Scholars to nurture and motivate them for higher studies and career in Science. Programmes are organized through reputed research and academic institutions to introduce them to the research activities carried out, so as to develop passion for science research. Financial assistance is provided to scientists and academicians in these institutions for organising 5-day residential camps. The programme also provides platform for the students to interact with eminent scientists and academicians.
Procedure for Application
Applications are invited through advertisement every year twice normally during June and January.

- Each programme caters to about 50 students on an average
- The activities include sessions by eminent Scientists, field trips, Practical sessions etc.

Scholarships are awarded to students of Kerala origin who have qualified meritoriously in the Higher Secondary Examination, for pursuing Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree courses in Basic/ Natural Science in Institutions/ Universities in India. The objective of the program is to motivate aspiring students to higher studies and a career in Science

How to Apply
Stage 1:Online Registration

- Applicant should Register Online before the stipulated date as per the notification issued by KSCSTE.
- Applicant should ensure the following before commencement of Online Registration.

- A valid Mobile number and E-mail ID accessible to him/her during the entire stage of selection process.
ii. A recent passport size photograph image of dimension 150W ×200H pixels.
- A valid Mobile number and E-mail ID accessible to him/her during the entire stage of selection process.

- Applicant should enter their Name, Date of Birth, E-mail ID and HSE Roll Number to commence online registration.
- Applicant should enter the OTP received through mobile and should enter a password of minimum 6 characters to continue registration.
- An Application number will be generated on successful registration. This number and the chosen password will be sent to the registered mobile number of the applicant, which should be used for future login.
(Note: The Provisional Rank List will be published in KSCSTE website www.kscste.kerala.gov.in usually during March/April.)
Stage 2: After publication of Provisional Rank List

- The students selected in the Provisional Rank list should submit the following documents for confirmation of Scholarship.

- Student Data-sheet, duly signed by the applicant and endorsed by the Head of the Institution where they are admitted for Degree Course.
ii. Copy of Mark list of Higher Secondary Board Examination- self attested.
iii. Community Certificate for SC/ST applicants.
iv. Certificate in proof of ‘Place of Origin’ [Applicant should be of Kerala origin]
v. “Terms & Conditions”, duly signed.
vi. E-payment form- in prescribed format.
- Student Data-sheet, duly signed by the applicant and endorsed by the Head of the Institution where they are admitted for Degree Course.

The selected students are eligible for Annual scholarship @ Rs. 12,000/-, Rs. 18,000/-, Rs. 24,000/- respectively for 1st , 2nd and 3rd years at U.G. level and @ Rs. 40,000/- & Rs. 60,000/- respectively for 4th year UG (Hons)/ 4th year UG (FYUGP)/1st year PG and 2nd year PG level.
Renewal of scholarship for 2nd and 3rd year U.G/Integrated P.G and 2nd year P.G/5th year Integrated P.G is subject to scoring minimum credit requirement as per the curriculum and credit framework specified by University Grants Commission in the National Education Policy-2020 (https://www.ugc.gov.in/pdfnews/7193743_FYUGP.pdf) for the previous year of the course and submission of Mark lists of previous year along with Renewal Data-sheet duly signed.
Continuation of scholarship for 4th year UGC (Hons)/P.G Course/4th year Integrated P.G course is subject to scoring minimum credit requirement as per the curriculum and credit framework specified by University Grants Commission in the National Education Policy-2020 (https://www.ugc.gov.in/pdfnews/7193743_FYUGP.pdf) and submission of (i) Consolidated Mark list of U.G programme /Mark lists of all previous 3-years of Integrated Course (ii) Renewal Data-sheet duly signed
Eligibility
The applicants should have secured admission for 3-year U.G/ 4-year UG (FYUGP)/ 4-year UG (Hons)/5-year Integrated P.G programme in Basic/Natural Sciences in 2024-25.

The National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC) is a program that aims to cultivate scientific curiosity among children across the country. The program encourages the use of scientific methods to explore and comprehend everyday problems related to their immediate surroundings. It is an inclusive program that welcomes children from all backgrounds, whether they are in or out of school, and regardless of their geographic, language, and cultural backgrounds. Children with disabilities are also welcomed. Through hands-on experience and the scientific method, the NCSC inspires children to explore, innovate, and discover scientific concepts. The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology, and Environment (KSCSTE) serves as the State Nodal agency for implementing the Children’s Science Congress program, which involves schools from diverse socio-economic backgrounds across the State.

- Programme to spread the concept of science among children through their project activities.
- Adopting the principle “Learning through doing”, Encourage children to observe, explore, experiment and wonder through the project activity.
Eligibility
- NCSC is usually a group activity of two children of same age group.
- The children within the age group of 10 to 17 years are eligible to participate. The children of 10 to 14 years are considered as junior group and 14+ to 17 years as senior group as on the 31st December of the calendar year of participation.
- A group of children with two can do the project study under a teacher guide.
- (It is not mandatory that the guide must be a school teacher; rather any person with a fair knowledge about science and have the aptitude dealing with children can guide the CSC Project.
- Children under CWD group will have no restrictions of age group. Usually sixth to ninth standard children will come under junior group and tenth to twelfth standard children under senior group, irrespective of their ages.
