About me

Dr. Arunan C is a Senior Principal Scientist at the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE).  With a PhD degree in Chemistry from Mahatma Gandhi University and post-doctoral research at EPFL, Switzerland, he brings extensive expertise in peptide chemistry, protein folding, and polymer-supported synthesis. His research has contributed to understanding amyloid peptides and their role in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s.Over the years, Dr. Arunan has managed advanced projects in synthetic chemistry, spectroscopy, and peptide–protein interactions, alongside developing novel polymeric supports for solid-phase synthesis. He has authored peer-reviewed publications and presented his work at international symposia. At KSCSTE, he handles the KSCSTE Research Fellowship Scheme, Kerala Science Congress and Selective Augmentation of Research and Development (SARD).
